Terms & Conditions

The rules that govern your use of BakeScore. Please read them carefully — by using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BakeScore(the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (these “Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operators of BakeScore.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the current version took effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of the Service

BakeScore is a web application that helps small bakeries, pop-up kitchens, and independent food operations scale recipes, track ingredient and labor costs, and set retail prices with confidence. Calculate ingredient costs, see recipe margins, and price your baked goods with confidence.

The Service is provided as a hosted subscription. Features, integrations, and limits may vary by plan. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time, with reasonable notice where material to your use.

3. Account Registration & Use

To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You may not share your account with others outside your organization unless your plan expressly permits it. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Non-Refundable Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select). By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.

All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility. All payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not provide refunds or prorated credits for partial billing periods, downgrades, or unused capacity.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that date. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price; you may cancel before the change takes effect to avoid it.

5. Acceptable Use / Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, and not to allow any user of your account to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code or trade secrets from the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by your plan.
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, defames another person, or contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, related systems, or other users' accounts.

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we deem appropriate, including suspending or terminating access.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and all related content, features, code, designs, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms; they do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You retain ownership of the data, recipes, and content you upload or create through the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service for you.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including provisions on payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. Pricing recommendations and cost calculations are informational and should not be relied on as professional financial or business advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we, our affiliates, or our licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us and our affiliates, officers, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) Your Content, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice).

Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of BakeScore is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence give you the right to bring an action locally.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be sent to bakescore@polsia.app.

We aim to respond to all inquiries within a reasonable timeframe, and to notices of alleged violations of these Terms promptly.

These Terms apply to all users of BakeScore. If you have questions, please contact bakescore@polsia.app.
